It’s not very serious but it is really annoying that so many times the CTRL-Z mess up the code.
I removed the duplicate post ![]()
What is messing up? Ctrl+Z seems to properly do the undo as expected on my Windows 11.
I don’t really know. I just bought a new Dell with windows 11, and almost every time I hit CTRL-Z something changes in the code, but it rarely is what I just entered. With my old linux this also happened, and every time my input have to be corrected I have to close and open the file without saving it, because I never know where exactly can occur the change if I try to undo it. It may cause some bug. What could possible be the cause of this?
Is it possible that the keyboard in portuguese be the cause? I really don’t know where to search for the solution for this… ![]()
The fact that it happens with both your new Dell and with your old linux makes me think it does have something to do with the portuguese keyboard. Here are a couple of links I found that might help:
- Someone here reports similar issues in the Sublime text editor and someone says when they switched to english input it all started working
- Similar issues here reported on vim. The discussion there might be helpful.
