Looking for suggestions on topics for a NetLogo model based on academic publications

Hello everyone, it’s me again,

I am new to NetLogo and would like to start working on a simple model or extend an existing one. I’m looking for suggestions on topics that are accessible for a beginner but are grounded in academic publications (books or articles).

I’m interested in finding a topic that I can develop or expand over time, and I would like to base my work on scientific literature to learn more about modeling and simulation methodologies.

I appreciate any suggestions, as well as references to articles or books that could guide my project.

@Tari25 There is a lot out there. Are there any topics, phenomena, or subjects in particular you are interested in?

Example subjects could be:

  • Social science generally, or more specifically
    • sociology
    • economics
    • urban dynamics
    • social psychology
    • etc.
  • Ecology
  • Epidemiology

Example phenomena:

  • disease spread
  • technology adoption
  • labor markets
